Meet the Macklamoor Family

The Macklamoor Family: An Introduction

The Macklamoor family reside in suburban Aurora Skies, in a 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom home.

Molly and Scott are the parents and the beginning of the Macklamoor legacy, they met while attending Sims University and are still as in love as they were when they first met, they are hard working and committed to their twin daughters Christa and Courtney.

Meet Courtney Elizabeth Macklamoor
Courtney is the younger twin, she loves to explore and hopes to see the world one day. She aspires to be an honor student in school and hopes to get a degree in Fine Arts when she gets to the University.

Meet Molly Bradshaw Macklamoor and Scott James Macklamoor

Molly and Scott met at Sims University where Scott was pursuing a degree in Science and Medicine and Molly was in the Fine Arts program. Scott works in the local Science lab, and Molly is working the ladder to becoming a World Renowned Chef at the local restaurant. Molly and Scott are committed to their daughters and encourage them to go after their dreams!

Meet Christa Emily Macklamoor

Christa is the older twin, she loves to pull the occasional prank on the family, and strives to do her best in school. She hopes to pursue a Science and Medicine degree once she reaches Sims University.

The Macklamoors also have a kitty named Cali.

Even though Scott and Molly do pretty well financially they have chosen to keep their home and lives simple. Here is the first level of the Macklamoor home.
It has a living room, dining room, full bathroom, kitchen, and small sun room where Cali makes her home.
Scott drives a Toyota Prius and Molly drives a Dodge Caravan. The twins will get cars eventually, they have just learned how to drive.

This is the second level of the Macklamoor home.
It has the master suite with a large bathroom, a bedroom for each of the twins and a bathroom for them to share.

Here is the front of their home at Christmas time.

(I hope you enjoyed meeting the Macklamoor family, I will post soon of their new family adventures so stay tuned!) (Used the Sims 3 to create this family)

A Seedling

So a bit of a seed has been planted... I have really gotten re-hooked on one of my favorite childhood/teenhood video games; The Sims. I forgot how endless the possibilities with this game are and I am rediscovering that it was a lot of fun for me back in the day and it's proving to have grown with me, just I didn't know it. I have been a Sims fan ever since 1999 when I played Sims 1 at a friends house and then asked my mom to get it for our house, and from there a seed was planted...

I honestly couldn't tell you the one thing that I really love about the game, all I know is I really love the game and pretty much every aspect of it. I am a very large dreamer and think of the craziest things I would love to do in real life, but realize due to financial limitations, physical limitations, and even coming to grips with the realization that it will only stay in my dreams and never come to fruition... makes me itch to see my dreams come true for something/someone... and that is where the Sims come in big time!!

As a child I loved looking at those Home Floor Plan magazines that grocery stores used to carry, and I used to be super observant when I was at other peoples homes on how their house was laid out and how in my mind I could see improvements to make their lives far easier, yes I was a very weird child... but I loved coming up with logical ways to improve life. I still do to this day observe others homes and think of ways it could work better for the family.

In the Sims I am able to build homes for virtual people (that I can create just how I want them), and I have replicated many aspects of homes I have been in for my Sims. I have even built real life homes almost exactly in-game, even including the placement of their furniture and kitchen cabinets. I also refer to the Home Plan magazines I had purchased so long ago, they serve as fabulous inspiration when I hit a wall (pun intended) in building that perfect home for my Sims family.

So now almost 14 years later and my rediscovery of a game I love... I am going to make an attempt at incorporating media with my game, I am going to play around with a few media volumes.. such as just blogging about it, trying some gaming photography, and maybe even some video footage of game play; or some combination of the three... we shall see what blooms from this seedling.

I have played through Sims 1, Sims 2, and am now thoroughly enjoying Sims 3. :)
